Privacy Policy
Effective date: February 12, 2026
Construction Pulse ("we", "us", "our") operates construction-pulse.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, your rights, and how to contact us about privacy matters.
1. Information we collect
We collect and process the following categories of information in order to provide and improve the Service:
1.1 Information you provide directly
- Account information: name, email address, company name, profile information when you create an account.
- Credentials & OAuth: OAuth tokens for connected social platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) to enable posting on your behalf. Tokens are stored encrypted where possible and handled according to provider requirements.
- Content & uploads: URLs, news article text, media, manually created posts, and administrative notes you provide via the dashboard.
- Support & communications: messages you send to our support channels (email, contact forms).
1.2 Information we collect automatically
- Service usage: logs of actions taken within the Service (e.g., generated posts, approvals, publishing history).
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used to authenticate sessions, remember preferences, and for analytics (see Cookies section).
1.3 Information from third parties
We may receive information from third-party services you connect to the Service (for example LinkedIn profile data when you connect an account) and from service providers such as analytics, hosting, or integrations (see Third-party services below).
2. How we use your information
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- To provide the Service: create and manage your account, generate and store posts, schedule and publish content to connected social platforms when authorized.
- To operate and improve the Service: feature development, debugging, and analytics to measure and improve performance and user experience.
- To communicate with you: respond to support requests, send system messages, and notify you about account activity or changes.
- For security and compliance: detect abuse, secure your account, and meet legal obligations.
- For research & training: anonymized and aggregated data may be used to improve internal models or product features. We do not publish personally identifiable information in such datasets.
Legal basis for processing (EU/UK/GDPR): where applicable, our legal bases include performance of a contract, your consent, legitimate interests (improving the Service, security), and legal obligations.
3. Third-party services & processors
To deliver the Service we rely on several trusted third parties.
We require third-party vendors to use reasonable security measures and process data only for specified purposes. Please review the privacy policies of those providers for full details about their practices.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to authenticate sessions, remember user preferences, and collect analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you disable authentication cookies, you may not be able to log in.
We may use analytics providers to measure usage (e.g., page visits, errors). These analytics services may use cookies and collect technical data; consult their respective privacy notices for details.
5. Data retention
We retain personal data as long as necessary to provide our Service or to comply with legal obligations. Typical retention periods we follow (you should adjust these as needed):
- Account data: retained while account is active and for up to 3 years after account deletion for backup and legal purposes.
- Generated posts, media assets & logs: retained for up to 3 years, unless deleted by the account owner or required to be removed earlier.
- Raw third-party API responses (e.g. LLM raw output): retained for operational debugging for up to 90 days, unless required otherwise.
If you need data removed sooner, see Your rights below.
6. Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal information. Measures include encrypted storage for secrets and tokens where practical, TLS for data in transit, access controls, and logging. No system can be 100% secure — if you become aware of a security issue, please contact us immediately.
7. Sharing & disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose personal information in the following limited circumstances:
- Vendors and service providers: to vendors who process data on our behalf to operate the Service (hosting, analytics, AI APIs).
- Legal obligations: when required by law, court order, or to respond to lawful requests from public authorities.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (you will be notified of changes in control of your personal data).
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations).
- Request restriction of processing or object to certain processing activities.
- Request portability of data you provided to us in machine-readable format.
To exercise these rights, sign in and use your account settings where available, or contact us at admin@construction-pulse.com. We will verify your identity before responding and aim to respond within 30 days.
EU/EEA/UK residents: you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA): you have the right to request information about personal data categories collected and the right to request deletion. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined under CCPA.
9. How to delete your account
You can delete your account from your dashboard (Account > Delete Account) or by contacting admin@construction-pulse.com. Deletion may remove access immediately but certain backup copies may persist for a limited time as described in the Data Retention section.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for individuals under 16 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
11. International transfers
We operate globally. Personal data may be processed in countries outside your jurisdiction (including the United States). Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or equivalents) to protect data transferred internationally.
12. Changes to this policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. When changes are material, we will provide prominent notice (for example via email or an in-app notification).
